Valeska Steiner and Sonja Glass are the two women who form Boy. Making pop that goes beyond pop, because of their beautiful lyrics and music that is the beginning of anything you want.

After listening to Boy you realise: this is the beginning of a beautiful mutual friendship. You may compare their music with the art school elegance of Phoenix, the lively melodics of Feist or the emotional depth of Bon Iver but perhaps it's better to quote their first song from their debut album Mutual Friends: "this is the beginning of anything you want." Valeska Steiner, born in Zürich, and Sonja Glass from Hamburg, together they are Boy, let it up to you, the listener, to decide what kind of music they make. Yeah it's pop, but it's a whole lot more, not in the least because of the poetic lyrics. Mutual Friends was recorded within several weeks in Berlin. Steiner and Glass played all the instruments you hear on the album, with the exception of the drums which are played by, among several others, Phoenix's live drummer Thomas Hedlund. Last year Boy performed at the Eurosonic festival. After touring extensively in Germany and Switzerland they are back, with an album, their amazing voices and their charisma, to conquer the rest of Europe and the world.
