European Border Breakers Charts, March 3, 2017

It was an impressive week for a British singer Anne-Marie and her new single ‘Ciao Adios’. The song only entered the chart last week and rose in seven days from #54 to #7 position. Looking back we can also see that her last solo single Alarm reached #6, and now the question is, will the new song be able to overcome it?

"In the combination of the popsong by British singer Anne-Marie it is a winner, rising from #54 to #7 this week, helped by a 511% rise in chart impact compared to last week. Her last solo single Alarm reached #6, so this is very promising. In the meantime, she became a master in goodbyes, as she was featuring in the Clean Bandit smash hit Rocka-bye (all Warner)." Menno Visser explains in his weekly chart analysis.

Also, no less than seven new titles appeared on the chart this week. Poland is especially fond of the two highest entering UK acts. First, at #48 we find British singer-songwriter Holly MacVe, followed by London-based producer Seramic, followed by Norwegian Ariadne Loinsworth with her third single as Ary and at #73 is the new single for British chanteuse Frances, No Matter. Next up are two French speaking entries, The Blaze from France and Belgian act Témé Tan. The last new entry are The Amazons with their single Black Magic.
