Cascada became an international dance sensation in 2006 after the release of their single Everytime We Touch. Before their mainstream success Cascade was steadily making a name for themselves in the German clubscene. In 2004 Cascade, which consist of producers DJ Manian and Yanou and singer Natalie Horler, released the single Miracle. The single took off in German clubs, and was eventually picked up bij the US-based Robbins Entertainment Label, a label that had previously turned Euro-dance acts like DJ Sammy into American chart-toppers.

After being signed by Robbins, Miracle was re-released in the US, followed by their song Bad Boy. Both singles did all right, but it was their third single that was solid gold. Everytime We Touch was a worldwide hit, topping the charts in Sweden and Ireland, and reaching number one in the US Billboard Dance Radio Airplay chart. Later that year, the album Everytime We Touch was released. The album turned out to be just as successful as their single. It peaked at one in Ireland, at two in the UK and at three on the US Billboard Top Electronic Albums. The success of Cascade and Everytime We Touch can also be seen in their selling figures. In 2007, they were the fourth best-selling global group behind Leona Lewis, Amy Whinehouse and KT Tunstall.

Since the release of Everytime We Touch, Cascade haven't stopped working for a moment. They released itheir second album, Perfect Day, in 2007 and their third, Evacuate The Dancefloor, in 2009. Their success hasn't stopped either; in 2010 they were announced to be the second most downloaded dance act, only to be beaten by David Guetta. Their fourth album is expected to come out in 2011.
