In 2003 Kraak & Smaak hit the airwaves when they released their Money In The Bag EP. The trio, formed by Oscar de Jong, Markn Kneppers and Wim Plug instantly made an impact on the scene, getting lots of airtime on BBC Radio 1 and drawing large crowds for their live performances. Their label, Jalapeno Records, quickly realized there was a demand for their music, and made deals with the best independent networks in both the US and Europe. The following years Kraak & Smaak released a number of EP's, before eventually releasing their full-length debut Boogie Angst in 2005.
Since releasing their debut album 'Boogie Angst' in 2006 Kraak & Smaak have played hundreds of shows in Europe, the US and Australia; rocking the international dance floors with their energetic dj and live sets that makes them just as happy performing in the tiny basement of a deep funk night as it does dropping huge riffs to festival crowds. They've supported the stadium-rocking Faithless on their European tour and played some of the most prestigious dj and live gigs in the USA including Movement Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Coachella and SXSW, as well as playing headline sell-out gigs on the West and East Coast on their last tour for their second album 'Plastic People' including worldwide hit 'Squeeze Me'.
