Born Meirlaen is a Flemish singer/songwriter. He made his debut in the televised talentshow Idols 2004 in which he ended fifth. A few months later he signed a record deal with the Belgian Ars Entertainment record label. He made his debut as a recording artist with other Belgian artists in a song to raise money for the victims of the Tsunami in 2005 called Artiesten voor Tsunami 12-12, a project similar to Band Aid. That song remained at number one for five weeks in the beginning of 2005.
In October 2006 ReBorn released his debut album Fools Rush In. He initially released this as Born, but he had to change his name due to the fact there already was a Dutch singer with that name. ReBorn also had considerable success in Japan. This success sparked another change of name. The name ReBorn sounded divine for the Japanese. Now he goes under the name Born Crain.
There were four singles released from Fools Rush In, two of which reached the Top Ten in Belgium. He also had considerable success in Japan, where he sold over 50.000 copies of his record. In 2008 he released his second album in Belgium, called The Pleasure of Your Company.
